Bio
MINDWORK is a progressive death metal band from Prague, Czech Republic, formed in 2007 around founder, guitarist and vocalist Martin Schuster. The band fuses technical, riff-driven death metal with progressive song-writing and a dark, cinematic atmosphere.
The debut album “Into The Swirl” followed in 2009 and “Eterea” in 2012 - both records were nominated for the best hard & heavy release of the year in the Czech Republic. Along the way the band shared stages with international acts such as Cynic, Suffocation and Nocturnus.
After an eight-year hiatus, MINDWORK reunited and returned in 2021 with the EP “Cortex” - a deep dive into the human psyche, mastered by Jens Bogren at Fascination Street Studios and featuring a guest solo from Bobby Koelble (Death).
In 2024 the band put out the standalone single “Deadly Narrow Line”, and in 2026 released “Adrift” - its first full-length album since “Eterea”. MINDWORK today is the trio of Martin Schuster (vocals, guitars), Dominik Vozobule (bass) and Filip Kittnar (drums), with Jiří Rambousek a regular guest on lead guitar.
